DR. STEPHANIE GRUNEWALD: HELPING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS DEFEAT OVERWHELM PERFECTIONISM IMPOSTER SYNDROME LIMITING BELIEFS PROCRASTINATION STRESS
Support to create alignment, ease, and fulfillment in your business and life.
I wont force you to follow some rigid path just because it worked for someone else or sell you a BS story about overnight success. I will tell you that I believe though: You already possess all you need to thrive; alignment brings it all together.
By weaving together your values, goals, strengths, and aspirations into something strong and unwavering, you achieve alignment. When alignment is in place, everything shifts:
You have the vision, the capability, and the drive. Now you need the right support and strategy to unlock your full potential.
Hi! I’m Dr. Stephanie Grunewald, Founder of Ancorio and Restorative Counseling. I earned my PhD from Loyola University Chicago and completed post-doctoral training at Rush University. I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a Certified Positive Psychology-based Health & Well-Being Coach, and a Certified Ikigai Life Coach.
Rather than listing credentials, I want to share how my expertise as a psychologist, experience as an entrepreneur, and personal journey led to my work at Ancorio.
I was fortunate to find my passion in psychology and truly love helping people. It had never been my intention to become a business owner, but I found myself in that situation. Growth happened fast. First, it was just me, then another clinician, then another. Before I knew it, I was remodeling the office and managing a team.
For years, I ran on autopilot, working constantly without stopping to ask if this was what I truly wanted. Like many women entrepreneurs, I battled perfectionism, people-pleasing, and relentless pressure (mostly self-imposed).
Then, my entire world shattered. My mom died of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease at just 61. I went back to work, convincing myself my clients and clinicians needed me. A few weeks later I caught myself telling a client to take care of themselves and realized I wasn’t doing the same.
Hiking to pretty waterfalls would be my respite. I found a version of myself I never knew existed. A version I wanted to bring back into my day-to-day life. What started as an escape became a turning point. During this time of deep introspection, the idea for Ancorio was first formed.
I saw how much I had been postponing life in the name of work. I tried every strategy, read every book, and hired coaches. I sought guidance, but every program I found focused on just one piece—mindset, business, professional or personal development—never integrating them all together. I also searched for a supportive community, but all I found were transactional networking groups and spaces where I was expected to present my best self rather than be honest about what I truly needed.
I wasn’t alone in my struggles or frustrations in finding help. So many of the women—intelligent, successful entrepreneurs—felt exhausted, isolated, and disconnected from why they initially started their business.
That’s why I created Ancorio. It would address what was lacking and become the supportive space I had so desperately needed.
True transformation doesn’t happen in isolation. Community is essential, and having the right support makes all the difference when creating meaningful change. An integrated approach ensures that mindset, alignment, business strategy, and personal development work together, providing everything needed for lasting change.
Working together is a collaborative process that leads to profound transformation. There may be some tears, a few f-bombs, and definitely some good laughs. In the end, the shifts you make will change how you move through life:
A mastermind group for women seeking strategy, accountability, and connection.
A transformative program to help you reclaim your time, confidence, and clarity.
Step away from daily demands to recharge, connect, and gain perspective.
My mission is to create a supportive space where women entrepreneurs connect deeply, share openly, and grow authentically. Focusing on mindset and alignment is the key to achieving that mission, helping women create peace, ease, and flow in their lives.
Everything is intentional, down to the graphics. The rope seen throughout the website signifies the power of alignment and the deeper purpose behind Ancorio. The purple thread running through the middle represents this work being done in honor of my mother and the legacy I am building—one that supports women in believing in themselves, pursuing their most audacious dreams, and doing so in a way that does not require sacrificing self-care or being present for moments that matter most.
This deep sense of purpose is reflected in the values that guide my work and life:
These values shape every aspect of my work. Ethical, human-centered marketing is central to this mission, prioritizing transparency, trust, and genuine connections over high-pressure sales tactics. Following the Humane Marketing approach ensures that integrity remains at the core of everything I do.
This commitment to impact beyond business is also why a portion of all proceeds supports LMJ’s Lost Souls – Alzheimer’s Fund. This nonprofit is dedicated to funding research and providing resources for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s. Ancorio was built with purpose, and that purpose extends beyond my work—it’s about honoring my mom’s legacy and ensuring no one faces this journey alone.
